Legal Eagles Take Flight For New York

Ten A-level Law students from South Sefton Sixth Form College are about to embark on the trip of a lifetime when they jet off stateside to compare the legal systems of the United States with those of the UK.  The students will be visiting New York for six days and will be looking at the UN Headquarters and the New York Police Museum.  They will spend a day at Brooklyn Law School campus and another day with US attorneys from the law firm, Duane Morris, to see a case in action in a New York court as the guests of Phi Delta Phi, the law fraternity of one of the college governors, Ian Scott.  Click here to read the full story

Tuesday 13th December sees our annual  Christmas Carol Concert with an evening of dance, music, drama and traditional carols. Induction Day, on July 4th 2011 - Experience your new college for the first time

Induction Day is the time  when prospective students experience their new college for the first time.The purpose of the day is to discover what your A level options are all about, what each course involves and whether each fulfils your initial expectations. In addition to meeting your new teachers and everyone else who has applied, you will be able to enjoy the facilities available, familiarise yourself with the college and be ready to make the best start possible in September. Food and refreshments will be available throughout the day so the only thing to remember to bring is yourself!   Click here to read the full story

Office365 is coming soon

After the Easter break the college will be implementing a brand new Email system which allows students to group their college email and personal email accounts together as well as share photos online, track deadlines with an interactive calendar and have access to a whopping 25Gb of personal file storage space in the 'Cloud'. It promises to be a major upgrade in the online organisational tools available to our students. Using these tools will also give you a headstart at University or in the workplace where Office365 will soon become the industry standard.  Click here to read the full story

Grey skies and heavy rain failed to dampen the spirits of a group of students as they set off for a short visit to Paris, with a view to consolidating their language skills developed throughout their AS course, furthering their knowledge of the “Ile de France” region, studied at A2, and of course, spending some time in one of the world’s most beautiful and remarkable cities.  Click here to read the full story
