Student Council
What does the council do?
The College Council plays a central part in the running of SSSFC. We are a student-centred college and as such we take the views, comments and suggestions of our students very seriously. The Student Council is an opportunity to make a statement and help the college develop.
How do I become a member?
Each form has an elected member and elections will be held in September so if interested please look out for information about how to become involved. Your voice matters! A form representative is required for each form group for both years. The form rep. should be somebody who is a good communicator, someone who is able to feed back each week the minutes from the council meetings and is also able to represent the views of their fellow students.
How often do they meet?
The Council sets and manages it's own agenda and usually meets at least once each term. Teaching staff, including The Vice Principal, are also members of the council ensuring the student voice is both heard and listened to.
What you said...what we did!
The college council is core to much of what we do at the college and has real influence. Last year the council were involved in a number of key initiatives and decisions made at our college, listed below.
